§ Mr. MaclayThe advances of Exchequer equalisation grant made to local authorities during 1961–62 in respect of that year were as stated in Column (3) of the table appended to my Reply to the Question asked by the hon. Member for Kirkcaldy Burghs (Mr. Gourlay) on 20th June last. Estimates of the total grants payable in respect of 1961–62, comparable with figures for 1960–61 circulated in reply to the hon. Member's Question on 14th February, will not be available until May.
