HC Deb 20 February 1962 vol 654 c44W
Mr. Dempsey

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he is aware of the lengthy period which elapses before a trial can be heard at Airdrie Sheriff Court, due to the shortage of staff and accommodation; and if he will take steps to rectify this position.

Mr. Maclay

I am aware that an increase in the volume of criminal work at the Airdrie Sheriff Court is causing some delay in fixing trials. I am keeping the situation under review.
