§ Mr. Corfieldasked the Minister of Transport what parts of the £50 million to be spent during the next six or seven years on roads approaching South Wales and in South Wales, excluding the Severn 152W Bridge and its approaches, will be spent on trunk roads and motorways in South Wales and Monmouthshire, on grants for classified road works in this area, and on trunk roads and motorways in England, excluding Monmouthshire or the approaches to South Wales and Monmouthshire, respectively.
§ Mr. MarplesThe total of commitments referred to includes some £30 million for trunk road and motorway schemes in South Wales and Monmouthshire and some £6 million for grants towards classified road schemes. This is in addition to the Severn Bridge. Nothing is included for schemes in England.
