HC Deb 14 February 1962 vol 653 c152W
Mr. Corfield

asked the Minister of Transport what part of the £50 million which is to be spent during the next six years on roads approaching South Wales and in South Wales relates to expenditure on the Severn Bridge and its approaches.

Mr. Marples

The figure of £50 million includes about £16 million for the Severn Bridge scheme, including land costs. The scheme covers the Almondsbury to Crick section of the London to South Wales Motorway, with bridges over the rivers Severn and Wye and eight miles of approach roads.
