HC Deb 05 December 1962 vol 668 cc204-5W
Mr. Prior

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will state the number of approved schemes under the Farm Improvement Scheme for farms of acreages of under 100, 100–200, 200–300 and over 300, respectively, and the average cost of each scheme.

Mr. Scott-Hopkins

Statistics are not available for these particular acreage groups but the following table gives the number of applications approved under the Farm Improvement Scheme and an estimated average cost for farms of acreages of under 100, 100–150, and 150 and over. The figures in the table are for England, Wales and Northern Ireland. No similar figures are available for Scotland.
