HC Deb 19 April 1962 vol 658 cc104-5W
Mr. Ridley

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what would be the revenue gain if all expenses, other than those incurred abroad, were disallowed.

Mr. Barber

I assume my hon. Friend has in mind expenses on entertaining, travelling, subsistence etc., allowed either in computing profits assessable under Schedule D or as a deduction from emoluments assessable under Schedule E. I regret that this information is not available.
