§ 61. Mr. John Hallasked the Minister of Labour if he has considered the Interim Report on the effects of the tally clerks' strike on port users, a copy of which has been sent to him; and what he intends to do to prevent actions of this kind damaging the national economy in the future.
§ Mr. Hare:Yes. The House will know that I appointed a Committee to consider the difficulties concerning tally clerks in the Port of London immediately after the strike was over. When reporting this Committee made recommendation to assist in preventing a recurrence of the recent troubles and to improve the efficiency of the Port. That National Dock Labour Board and others concerned are giving urgent consideration to these recommendations.
