HC Deb 17 February 1961 vol 634 c163W
72. Mr. Zilliacus

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will take steps to secure appropriate treatment for Mr. Peter David Hastings, of whom the Chairman of Nottinghamshire Quarter Sessions said at Beeston on 9th February when sentencing him to five years' imprisonment that he did so because unfortunately there was no room available to give him the hospital treatment he needed for the psychiatric disorder from which he was suffering.

73. Mr. Paget

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what action he proposes to take in the case of Peter David Hastings, at present serving a five years' prison sentence following conviction at Nottingham Quarter Sessions.

Mr. R. A. Butler:

I am in consultation with my right hon. Friend, the Minister of Health, about arrangements for securing any necessary psychiatric treatment for this prisoner.
