55. Sir J. Vaughan-Morgan

asked the Minister of Transport whether, before he approves the plans of the Surrey County Council for widening the A.25 road in Blechingley, he will arrange for his officials to consult the Blechingley and Nutfield Parish Councils which have alternative proposals to put forward.

Mr. Marples:

I assume that the parish councils will in the first instance make known their views to the county council which is the highway authority. No plans have yet been submitted to me.
