§ Mr. Owenasked the Minister of Labour how many school leavers are registered at the employment exchanges, in the county of Northumberland and the city of Newcastle, on the latest convenient date; how many are boys and how many are girls; and how long they have been waiting for employment.
§ Mr. P. Thomas:On the 16th January, 91 boys and 80 girls were so registered in the Administrative County of Northumberland and 123 boys and 35 girls in the city of Newcastle. Nine of the boys and two of the girls in the Administrative County left school last July. The others in the county and all in the city left school last December.
