HC Deb 09 February 1961 vol 634 cc101-3W
Mr. Will Owen

asked the Minister of Labour what industries have established apprenticeship schemes; and how many employees were enrolled in each scheme at the end of 1960.

Mr. P. Thomas:

The industries, numbering 124, having such schemes are listed below. Few of these schemes provide for a central record of apprentices enrolled under them, but where available the figures (and the dates to which they refer) are included in the list. Information about the total intake of apprentices by different industries in 1959 was published in the Ministry of Labour Gazette for June, 1960. Corresponding information for 1960 will be similarly published in June this year.
