§ 79. Dr. Dickson Mahonasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if, in view of the recommendations of the Toothill Committee's Report on the Scottish Economy, he will announce in greater detail his proposals for the development of the road reconstruction programme over five to ten years.
§ Mr. MaclayI have noted the Committee's recommendation and, although there are obvious difficulties if we attempt to be too precise in this field, I am considering whether some announcement which would be helpful can be made.
