§ 78. Mr. Rankinasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what oral or written evidence was given to the Toothill Committee by the Scottish Home Department and the Department of Health for Scotland; and if he will make it available to Members of Parliament.
§ Mr. MaclayI understand from the Scottish Council (Development and Industry) that it does not intend to publish the evidence tendered to the Toothill Committee. As the Committee has acknowledged, my Departments gave it a great deal of information, but it would be neither practical nor appropriate to detail it.
