HC Deb 26 April 1961 vol 639 c37W
Captain W. Elliot

asked the Postmaster-General whether it is his intention to provide a restaurant at the top of the Radio Tower in Central London, since this would be a unique addition to London's amenities.

Mr. Bevins

Yes. I have always felt that a public restaurant in the Tower would be a great attraction to the public, and, after further examination, my right hon. Friend the Minister of Works and I have decided that it will be possible to include a restaurant without jeopardising the time-table for completion of the scheme as a whole.
