§ Mr. Prenticeasked the Minister of Labour why he proposes to spend £44,000 less on direct grants to Remploy 116W Limited in the financial year 1961–62 than in the preceding year.
§ Mr. HareThe estimated grant to Remploy during 1961–62 represents, in effect, an increase on the corresponding figure for 1960–61 because the latter includes £62,000 to meet the cost of wages on a 53rd pay day in that year and a supplementary provision of £100,000 required to meet increased costs, some of which are not expected to recur in 1961–62.
