HC Deb 12 April 1961 vol 638 c21W
16. Mr. Iremonger

asked the Minister of Transport what representations he has received from the Ilford Borough Council concerning amendments to the Pedestrian Crossings (General) Regulations, 1951; and what reply he has sent.

Mr. Marples

The council has asked that the distance from an uncontrolled pedestrian crossing within which the stopping of vehicles is prohibited should be extended and also that the ban on waiting should apply to the leaving side of the crossing as well as to the approach side. I am examining this proposal.
