Mr. John MacLeod

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will state the major improvement grant money on trunk roads authorised by his Department for the years 1959–60, 1960–61 and 1961–62, in each of the four counties of Sutherland, Ross and Cromarty, Inverness, and Argyll.

The amount of expenditure which was authorised for new construction and major improvement schemes on trunk roads, including those schemes under the County Crofter Programme, during the years 1959–60 and 1960–61 in the counties of Sutherland, Ross and Cromarty, Inverness and Argyll is set out in the table below.

No schemes have yet been authorised in 1961–62.
