§ Mr. Walker-SmithI have conveyed to hospital authorities the view that patients suffering from any infectious 47W disease should normally be nursed in isolation and recommended certain precautions to be observed when it is necessary to nurse such patients in open wards. I have suggested that special hospital units should be provided where practicable for the treatment of poliomyelitis.
