HC Deb 12 December 1960 vol 632 c6W
60. Mr. Mulley

asked the Lord Privy Seal if he will propose that the next meeting of the Council of Western European Union should be attended by the Heads of Government in order that urgent attention should be given to the recent recommendations of the Assembly concerning the relations between this country and the European Economic Community.

Mr. Godber

The Council of Western European Union meets at Ministerial level about once a quarter, the next Ministerial meeting being due to take place in February or March next year. The hon. Gentleman's suggestion will certainly be borne in mind.
