Mr. Watkins

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food the acreage of land which has been acquired for afforestation by the Forestry Commission and private owners in each of the Welsh counties for the last two years.

The area of land acquired for afforestation by the Forestry Commission in each of the Welsh counties in the years ending 30th September 1958 and 1959 is given in the table below:
