HC Deb 04 April 1960 vol 621 c23W
Commander Pursey

asked the Minister of Education how often sight-tests for children are carried out by an ophthalmic medical practitioner for the Waterloo Park Grammar School, Liverpool, 22; whether the dispensing optician shows the full range of alternative colours of National Health Service frames for grown-up children; and how many weeks elapse before a parent receives the child's prescription for spectacles.

Sir D. Eccles

Twice a week, at the Prince Street Clinic. I am informed that the dispensing optician shows the full range of National Health Service frames, and that the prescription is sent to the parent about a week after the test.
