HC Deb 26 November 1959 vol 614 c66W
103. Mr. Osborne

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he will make a statement on the Icelandic fishing dispute; and what new steps he is taking to bring this to a satisfactory solution.

Mr. R. Allan

I am sorry that I have nothing to add to the written reply which I gave to the hon. and learned Member for Aberdeen, North (Mr. Hector Hughes) on 18th November. Her Majesty's Government are still prepared to consider any steps which may seem to offer a prospect of achieving a satisfactory interim settlement of the dispute pending the outcome of the Second Conference on the Law of the Sea.
