§ Mr. Russellasked the Minister of Health what progress has been made 71W during 1959 with the surveys on the incidence of rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis mentioned in the Annual Report of the Chief Medical Officer for 1958.
§ Mr. Walker-SmithI am informed that of these surveys, the one in Wensleydale has now been completed and the data obtained are being analysed prior to publication. During 1959 a further survey has been made at Leigh in Lancashire in order to supplement information obtained from previous surveys in the same town.
