asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government and Minister for Welsh Affairs whether he will state the Government's policy with regard to rents still remaining under control under the Rent Act. 1957.

The Government have no intention in this Parliament of legislating to alter the general rent limits laid down in Section 1 of the Rent Act for houses remaining under control.
