HC Deb 13 May 1959 vol 605 c142W
61. Mr. Baird

asked the Minister of Defence what proportion of National Service recruits entering Her Majesty's Services receive anti-poliomyelitis vaccinations.

Mr. Sandys

As with the rest of the population, vaccination against polio is offered to all National Service recruits up to the age of 26. Acceptance is voluntary and no figures of the numbers of National Service men who are vaccinated are available centrally.
