§ 25. Mr. Kimballasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will make regulations insisting that all fishing boats should have their registration numbers clearly visible from the air; and if he will take the Royal Air Force to assist the Royal Navy in Fishery Protection work.
§ Lord John HopeThe display of registration numbers by fishing boats is a matter for my right hon. Friend the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, who is being consulted. The Royal Air Force have on occasion given assistance to the Fishery Protection vessels of the Scottish Home Department and the Royal Navy. My right hon. Friend will keep in mind the possibility of further use of aircraft.
