asked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation the number of goods vehicles and public service lating to the keeping of records and hours of work in each of the years 1956, 1957 and 1958; and if he will state, for each of these years, the number of convictions in which the penalty imposed by the magistrates' courts exceeded three guineas.

vehicles authorised under carriers' licences and public service licences during the licensing years ended 30th September and 31st March, respectively, for 1956, 1957 and 1958 for each of the traffic areas.
