Bossomasked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation if he will give in the OFFICIAL REPORT the approximate number of horse-drawn vehicles, whether public omnibuses, trams or coaches, and the number of private cars, running in Greater London, Brighton, Leeds, Sheffield and Birmingham, respectively, in 1800, 1900, 1925, 1950 and 1958.
§ Mr. WatkinsonThe following are the number of motor cars for which licences were current at any time during the quarter ending 30th September in the respective areas. My Department has no record of the numbers of motor cars licensed in these areas before 1926. Information about horse drawn vehicles is not available.
