§ Dame Irene Wardasked the Prime Minster if he will report on his conversations with President Eisenhower on trade between the United States of America and Great Britain; and what assurances he received on the treatment of the C. A. Parsons order.
§ The Prime MinisterI took the opportunity of my visit to Washington to raise the general question of trade and economic matters with President Eisenhower. I made it clear that Her Majesty's Government attach great importance to these questions many of which affect British firms so acutely. I do not, however, think that the House would expect me to give a detailed account of these private conversations.
