asked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation if he will state the results of the Kerb Space is Precious campaign in improving the flow of traffic in Wembley.

Mr. Nugent

This campaign started by the Traders Road Transport Association in October, 1958, is intended to encourage the use of a voluntary code of kerbside behaviour. It has our full support. A campaign of this kind takes time to bring about measurable results, and it is too early yet to assess its effect on traffic flow in Wembley or elsewhere in London.
