§ Mr. Hector Hughesasked the Minister of Health, what steps he has taken, and with what success, during the last 10 years to prevent and cure the disease of asthma by means of hypnosis and otherwise.
§ Mr. Walker-SmithI am advised that not enough is known about the aetiology of asthma to provide the basis for organised preventive action. Treatment of this disease, as of others, has been facilitated by provision made under the National Health Service, but I have no means of measuring the success achieved.
