§ Mr. Hector Hughesasked the Minister of Health what steps he has taken, and with what success, during the last 10 years to prevent and cure tuberculosis and bronchial diseases, respectively.
§ Mr. Walker-SmithImproved methods of control such as better case finding and the introduction of vaccination together with advances in treatment have strikingly reduced both incidence and mortality in tuberculosis. I am sending the hon. and learned Member copies of selected memoranda on the subject. With regard to bronchitis I would refer him to the reply in the Adjournment Debate on 9th July last.
