§ 58. Mr. Sydney Irvingasked the Minister of Labour what steps were taken to ensure that 23604106 Rifleman T. Williams was fit for National Service before being called up; in which medical category he was placed; and, in view of subsequent events, if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. Iain MacleodMr. T. Williams was considered by National Service Medical Boards in March and in September, 1958. The Boards took into account the advice given by two consultants. On each occasion he was marked Grade I and he was called up for National Service on 22nd January, 1959.
