asked the Minister of Health what moneys have been annually allocated to the Sheffield Regional Hospital Board since 1948; and what moneys for each respective year have been left unspent.

Note 1. The capital account figures up to and including the year ended 31st March, 1956, exclude the cost of equipment supplied centrally.
Note 2. The revenue allocations for the years ended 31st March, 1953 and 1954 included reserves of £664,000 and £224,300 which were available to the Board only if required to meet the cost of salary and wage increases: any sums remaining at the end of the year were required to be left unspent. The underspendings for the two years included £193,052 and £99,036 respectively on this account.
