§ 66. Mr. G. Darlingasked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation whether he will introduce legislation to amend the Road Traffic Act, 1956, so that transport operators with large fleets of vehicles and their own garages and workshops can examine and certify their own vehicles under the Vehicles Testing Scheme, irrespective of whether or not they are providing a testing service for the general public.
§ Mr. WatkinsonWhile I intend to keep this Question under review in the light of experience of the operation of the scheme, I am not at present satisfied that legislation on the lines suggested by the hon. Member is necessary.
