asked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation how many driving test inspectors resigned and how many were recruited, respectively, during 1958; and what scale of pay they receive.

During 1958 the Department lost a total of 20 examiners, and 77 examiners took up appointments. The national pay scale was £640-£739, plus 3½ per cent. since 1st December, 1958.
