87. Wing Commander Bullus

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government and Minister for Welsh Affairs if he will consult the London Transport Executive with a view to their giving the necessary permission for local authorities to affix litter receptacles to omnibus stop pasts and trolley columns.

I understand that the Executive's practice is to allow litter bins, provided that they do not carry commercial advertisements. My right hon. Friend is unwilling to approach the Executive about advertising here because in his view the Executive's line is right.
