Mr. Swinglerasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government and Minister for Welsh Affairs what schemes and proposals for improvements in Newcastle-under-Lyme which could be quickly started and under consideration in his Department; and if, in view of the growing unemployment in the area, he will give urgent attention to them.
§ Mr. BevinsThree applications for loan sanction, amounting in all to about £12,000, are at present under consideration, and my right hon. Friend expects to approve them very shortly.
