§ Mr. G. Brownasked the Paymaster-General to what extent it is his policy to include amongst the members of the area gas boards a person qualified as having experience in the organisation of workers; and who is that person in the case of the East Midlands Gas Board.
§ Mr. MaudlingIt is not always practicable to ensure that all eight of the qualifications specified in Section 5 of the Gas Act, 1948, are simultaneously represented on particular area gas boards. Subject to this, it is my noble Friend's policy to include members who have had experience of the organisation of workers, and in the case of the East Midlands Gas Board, Councillor W. Albans is so qualified.
