§ Mr. SimonEvery effort is made to keep Income Tax returns as simple as the subject matter allows. If the hon. Member has any suggestions to make I will gladly consider them.
§ Mr. Haleasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will make provision for an Income Tax paper on request to be provided with a clear and intelligible written statement showing the full basis of the computation of any demand note for Income Tax to be paid by him.
§ Mr. SimonThe instructions issued by the Board of Inland Revenue to its staff already provide for a taxpayer to be given, on request, a full written explanation of the computation of any Income Tax he is called upon to pay.
