HC Deb 20 April 1959 vol 604 c3W
61. Mr. Blenkinsop

asked the Minister of Health what recent representations he has received from the British Medical Association reaffirming their opposition to prescription charges, and urging their abolition on the grounds of economy and the avoidance of hardship; and what reply he has sent.

Mr. Walker-Smith

A resolution passed in July of last year by the Representative Body of the British Medical Association was brought to my attention. I have undertaken to bear the Association's views in mind.
