25. Mr. Oliver

asked the Minister of Labour what record he has of the number of children in Ilkeston, Heanor. Ripley and Alfreton who left school at the end of last term who were unable to obtain employment.

Mr. Wood

On 1st April one boy who left school at Christmas and who had failed to secure employment was known to the Ilkeston Youth Employment Office, including its sub-office at Heanor. On the same date, two boys, one of whom was disabled, were similarly known to the Alfreton office, including its sub-office at Ripley.
