HC Deb 09 December 1958 vol 597 c39W
109. Dr. Dickson Mabon

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland why the Scottish Board for Industry decided recently to set up a special sub-committee to make further inquiries in connection with the proposed graving dock at Greenock; and what progress has been made locally in this matter.

Mr. Maclay

I welcome support for this project from all quarters, but I cannot answer for decisions taken by the Scottish Board for Industry. I understand that the investigating company are actively engaged in the preparation of a scheme which will be submitted to the Development Areas Treasury Advisory Committee as soon as possible.
