§ 107. Mr. Rankin
asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he has studied the statement of the Association of Teaching Staff of Glasgow Royal College of Science and Technology, made to the committee appointed by him, declaring that the college should be raised to the status of a technological university with powers to award degrees; and what he proposes to do in the matter.
§ Mr. Maclay
The Association's memorandum was one of a number considered by the Commissioner who held a local inquiry into the endowments 39W administered by the Governors of the College. I cannot comment on any of the matters before him until I have received his report.
