§ 90. Mr. Willisasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what he estimates the effects will be by 1959–60 in Scotland of the decision announced by Her Majesty's Government on 29th October to slow down house building by public authorities.
§ Mr. MaclayNo specific cut in the Scottish programme is contemplated, but I should expect that the run-down which began after the peak year of 1953 will bring completions in 1959–60 to about 20,000, excluding private building.
