HC Deb 26 February 1957 vol 565 c153W
72. Mr. Hamilton

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland to make a statement on the prospect of industrial development in the new town of Glenrothes.

Mr. Maclay

Light industries already established in Glenrothes provide employment for some 3,000 people, and there are plans for expansion. The Milk Marketing Board has recently arranged to build a small factory for the manufacture of milk products, and negotiations for the introduction of other new industry are in progress.
