§ 73. Mr. Awberyasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what qualifications are required for senior posts in the Civil Service in Singapore; and what opportunities are available in the Colony for the attainment of such qualifications.
§ Mr. Lennox-BoydFor direct entry into the Administrative Service in Singapore, an honours degree or its equivalent is required. Promotion to senior posts is based on experience and merit, and no further academic qualifications are required. An honours degree can be got at the University of Malaya.
