§ 66. Mr. Awberyasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he will instruct our representatives at the United Nations to take the necessary steps to revise the United Nations Charter with a view to establishing a permanent United Nations organisation police force in the light of our recent experiences.
§ Mr. Dodds-ParkerNo. Article 43 of the United Nations Charter already provides that members of the United Nations should make armed forces available to the Security Council for the maintenance of international peace and security. It is not the fault of successive British Governments since 1945 that the Article has not been implemented.
