§ Mr. H. BrookeThe total of advances made under the Public Works Loans Act, 1955, up to 31st March, 1956, was £364.3 million. The purposes for which these advances were issued are shown in detail on page 6 of the Eighty-first Annual Report of the Public Works Loan Board, 1955–56, which is available in the Vote Office today.
The total of advances issued since 31st March, 1956, up to the end of last week was £37.5 million, for the following purposes:
