asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government the terms and conditions laid down by his regulations for compensating owners of sound houses when these have to be demolished for any public purpose.

Mr. Powell

The basis on which compensation is assessed is fixed by statute. Perhaps the hon. Member will let my right hon. Friend know of any particular difficulty he has in mind.
